If you run a stable, or have a few horses on your property, then you might be looking for a convenient and efficient way to feed them. At Willie’s Manufacturing Industries, we make both round and square, and exclusively round bale feeders. These feeders can be used to feed a range of animals, including cows, sheep, and horses.
WMI is an Australian-owned and operated company. It began in 2009, when Jason Willie and his father, Wayne took over Carroll’s Manufacturing Industries. Our feeders are designed and manufactured in Australia, and are stocked by dealers throughout Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Western Australia, and Tasmania.
We have both horse round and square, and horse round bale feeders for sale. Interested to find out more about the feeders we manufacture and sell? Keep reading!
Our horse bale feeders
At WMI, we make four different varieties of machines that can be used as horse feeders. Some of these feeders can be customised to make larger or smaller versions of the model. All of our feeders are built tough, with the Australian weather conditions in mind. Each also has a high ground clearance. These feeders are:
The Albybone
Ideal for those who are looking for a feeder capable of carrying several bales of hay at a time, the Albybone can carry both square and round hay bales for horses and other animals. This model can handle either six square or five round bales, in any order. The Albybone has an extendable chamber, which lets it accommodate all bales. It also has a curved chamber for pad feeding, an independent tandem rocker, and can be used for carting in.
The dimensions of our standard Albybone machine are:
Width: 2.5 metres
Length: 8.1 metres
Height: 2.25 metres
Weight: 2.1 tonnes
If you are after a larger version of the Albybone, we can make one, by request.
The Pa-Mick
For smaller jobs where you still wish to have the option of variety, we have the Pa-Mick. The Pa-Mick can carry up to two bales at a time, either round, square, or one of each, in any order. This machine has an extendable chamber which allows it to accommodate bales of all sizes. This chamber is also curved for pad feeding up to 1.2 metres high, and can tilt for greater feed control. The Pa-Mick also features a versatile loading system with collapsible forks for safety.
The dimensions of our Pa-Mick model are:
Width: 2.5 metres
Length: 8.1 metres
Height: 2.25 metres
Weight: 2.1 tonnes
The Champion
Our Champion model is one of the horse round bale feeders we have for sale. This machine can carry six large round bales of hay, making it great for those with many horses looking for a feed. The Champion has user-friendly maintenance, and an independent tandem rocker system. It features a versatile loading system with collapsible forks for safety, and rippers that travel over the top of the chassis to reduce component damage. This model also has a simple chain adjustment.
The dimensions of our Champion model are:
Width: 2.3 metres
Length: 6.9 metres
Height: 1.5 metres
Weight: 1.8 – 1.9 tonnes
We are also able to make smaller versions of the Champion feeder, for those interested in a custom-make.
The Elite
The Elite is designed for smaller feed amounts, where you’re looking to carry up to two round bales at a time. This model has rippers that travel over the top of the chassis to reduce component damage, and user-friendly maintenance. It has a simple chain adjustment, and a versatile loading system with collapsible forks for safety.
The dimensions of the Elite machine are:
Width: 2.3 metres
Length: 4.6 metres
Height: 1.2 metres
