Our Sheep Feeders

Updated: May 10, 2021

Willie’s Manufacturing Industries manufacture and supply a wide variety of farm equipment. Our feeders are suited for a range of animals, including sheep, horses, and cattle.

We are a family-run business based out of Victoria, and all of our feeders are made in Australia. Our sheep feeders include those made for round bales, sheep round and sheep square bale feeders that can handle both round and square bales.

Read on to find out more about the feeders we have available for feeding sheep, plus a little bit of information about WMI.

Our sheep feeders

All of our feeders are made in Australia, and as such, are created with our country’s weather conditions in mind. They each have a high ground clearance. We have a range of four feeders available, all of which are able to be used for feeding sheep. This includes those that exclusively handle round bales, to sheep round and sheep square bale feeders, that can handle both types of bales. Our range of feeders is as follows:

The Albybone

The Albybone is a multi-bale feeder that can hold both square and round hay bales. It can handle either six square bales or 5 round bales, in any order. This machine has a curved chamber for pad feeding, and can be used for carting in. It also has an independent tandem rocker, and an extendable chamber that allows for the machine to accommodate all bales. This feeder’s dimensions are:

  • Width: 2.5 metres

  • Length: 8.1 metres

  • Height: 2.25 metres

  • Weight: 2.1 tonnes

We can also make larger versions of this machine, by request.

The Pa-Mick

This machine is a hay and silage feeder that can carry up to two bales of hay at a time (round, square, or one of each, in any order). It has a tilting chamber for greater feed control, and a versatile loading system with collapsible forks for added safety. The Pa-Mick also has a curved chamber for pad feeding up to 1.2 metres high, and an extendable chamber to accommodate all bale sizes. The Pa-Mick’s dimensions are:

  • Width: 2.5 metres

  • Length: 8.1 metres

  • Height: 2.25 metres

  • Weight: 2.1 tonnes

The Elite

The Elite feeds out both hay and silage, and can carry up to two bales at a time. It is a round bale feeder, meaning it exclusively holds round bales. This model has user-friendly maintenance, and simple chain adjustment. The Elite has rippers that travel over the top of the chassis to reduce component damage, and a versatile loading system with collapsible forks for safety. This machine’s dimensions are:

  • Width: 2.3 metres

  • Length: 4.6 metres

  • Height: 1.2 metres

  • Weight: 960 kilograms

The Champion

This round bale feeder is able to carry up to six bales at a time. It feeds out either hay or silage, and has user-friendly maintenance. The Champion has rippers that travel over the top of the chassis to reduce component damage, and an independent tandem rocker system. It also has a simple chain adjustment, and a versatile loading system with collapsible forks for safety. The Champion’s dimensions are:

  • Width: 2.3 metres

  • Length: 6.9 metres

  • Height: 1.5 metres

  • Weight: 1.8 – 1.9 tonnes

We can also custom-make smaller versions of this machine for those interested.

A little bit about WMI

WMI began in April 2009 when Jason Willie and his father Wayne took over Carroll’s Manufacturing Industries. Primarily, we make bale feeders, however, we also manufacture a range of general fabrication such as trailers, structural steel, stock crates, hay forks, and tractor tow hitches. We supply our machines to dealers across Australia, including locations in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania.

We pride ourselves on creating high-quality bale feeders, utilising modern technology to create unique designs. We incorporate feedback from farmers during the design and production phases of new machines, and aim to cater to various farming operation needs.

The high quality and durability of our machines is reflected in the fact that the first ever machine we made is still going strong, 17 years after it was created! Our machines are built strong and can withstand harsh Australian farm conditioning. We are proud of the quality of the machines we create, and have found that a large component of our sales comes from word of mouth within the farming community.
